If you are looking for a soft poly with incredible CONTROL and DURABILITY'...this is the string for you!
We want to give this string 10/10 in all departments and trust us it does live up to its hype. This string is 6 sided and gives you everything you would need from a string...power; superb tension retention with virtually no string movement; solid spin and then of cause the awesome control and durability. Feel free to play around with the tension on this one and string it low to get the max out of it!
Note: The black color on the Hexagon-X is 1.28mm (16g) where the red color is a bit thinner at 1.25mm (16Lg).
Color: Pearl Red.
Length: 660ft/200m
Gauge: 16L (1.25mm)
Construction: Hexagonal-shaped co-polyester + carbon + special polyeolefin mix.
Advantage: Spin, Power, Durability and Control.

The Hexagon X red have become my go to strings after trying quite a few others.
What I really like about these strings is that sure, just like many Ytex poly strings they give you great spin, power and control but for me it’s the consistency the strings have on all those attribute's on a variety of racquets that makes this my go to string.
I string them between 48 and 50lbs
With Twist Purple in my other racquet, Head Exteme MP, I strung Hexagon Red as a cross (40 lbs) to Square X Sharp (42), and along with Purple, found it superior to the smooth poly Protour as a hybrid cross. Whereas Purple seemed to exceed Red in power, durability and control, Red did enhance the spin. The full bed is good, but try it in a hybrid, even as a cross!
YTEX Strings really knows about good quality. The Hexagon-X provides plenty of spin and control.
These strings will not break! I hit with a lot of topspin and my previous strings used to move around quite a bit, causing a lot of friction. I would break strings frequently. I play singles twice a week and haven't broken a string all summer!
Similar to Hexagon X black. Good spin, nice control, stiff recoil. Beauty and braun!
Check out the video to see why choosing YTEX is the best choice. You won’t find a better string around!
There are a lot or stars in the YTEX poly line. For me, the one that shines brightest is Hex-X Black. No other string that I have played offers the perfect balance of Power, Spin, Comfort, but most of all CONTROL. The ball goes where I want it to. I can take big cuts and always feel connected, yet I still have deft touch on drops and volleys. I like Pearl Red, but I like Black more. It’s more muted, IMO. Less jumpy. You can’t go wrong with either, tho. Try it. GO LOW TENSION! My preference is 47# in my Volkl V-Cell 8 (100 sq. in. , 16/18). That’s 3 pounds lower than recommended on the frame. I just bought my 3rd reel.
Strongly recommend!!
YTEX's Hexagon-X Co-Poly strings are the best strings I've played with and I have played tennis for over 40 years. It not only has the power and spin but incredible feel and thats difficult to find in the same string. Thank you YTEX for raising the bar!

Played with them twice now and they feel really good, played with a great amount of topspin. Thinking about purchasing a reel 🤙🏻😎
I personally used this string.
The comfort, Feel, Control, Power, Spin & Durability was fantastic.
It synthesised perfectly on my game style.🎾🎾🎾
Ytex has the best strings in the market hands down. It is so hard to find the right balance between control and comfort. Ytex has cracked that code and provided us tennis elbowers a new life. I can now enjoy playing with polys without hurting and without losing control. I have finally found what I have been looking for. Going to stock them up for next season.
This string is amazing. I am just so impressed by YTEX overall. My two favorite strings are hexagon X and quadro twist and those are the only two I tried from YTEX. I have tried every other poly string out there including the so called big guns like rpm blast, Alu power, etc. These so called top guns have destroyed my arm. However, after using YTex my arm does not hurt and my game has gone to another level. Love YTEX. Please keep doing what you are doing and thank you for making such good strings.
Let me say this, it takes a lot to impress me. But this Ytex Hexagon-X Pearl Red feels REALLY good and I'm extremely impress with this string.
I love the Hexagon X in pearl red. It give mal an amazing control and a good spin. It’s easy on the arm.
Hexagon- X
I have this really great string now. I knew that there was going to be different, but not by this much. Even my coach said there's a big deference in string. 1st color us great, then my first few swings and i noticed my ball began to kick up higher after first bounce. I stopped a few times kept looking at racket. The string sounds totally different. It not a bad thing. But when i began to serve my ball was turning more and kicking higher. Can't wait to compete and win over and over with these new strings.
I have now used both the Quadro and the Hexagon-X Red Pearl. I like the feel of the Red Pearl a bit better based on my game. It seems to produce a bit more pace and more depth. It is also easy on the arm strung at 45lbs. I feel the ball leaves the strings a bit quicker and still maintains control. It is sensitive to hitting the ball out in front of you with a little less forgiveness than the Quadro. But it feels great on ground strokes, volleys and serves. I high recommend both.
Very good spin, control and power. Im loving this string. Full bed in tfight 100.
Great control string that really opens up the more you play with it. For being shaped it has a low launch angle with exceptional bite on the ball. Allows for high spinning rally balls and slaping one flat for a winner.
So I tried out the Square X Sharp and Quadro twist ( have reviews on those) and both amazing for different reasons. I honestly did not really want to bother trying this one out but since I had it I was like ok but how good can this one be compared to the other 2. Boy was I really surprised by this one. First thing is I put the tension at 40 lb as I heard this may be a little stiffer. Not even remotely Stiff. This one is super soft ( I felt softer than the other 2 actually) possibly the tension but other 2 were only a few lb heavier. I string low. I literally kept tyring to hit the ball out on purpose and most of the shot would just drop in over and over. I thought I was crazy. I had my wife try it ( she plays with Nat gut) I told her swing as hard as you can see where this lands, she had the same results she was like wow this feels amazing. Not as much spin as the other 2 but it has plenty IMO. We had her use it in a Friendly doubles match and God honest truth the first 3 games she played were the best I have ever seen her play. This string has a boat load of control and I like it better than the Quadro twist and about the same as the Square X sharp. My wife took this string to her Pac Sun Match and won yesterday was super consistent. I do not know if she will switch from Gut but I am trying to convince her for the fact this one she played better than , its less expepnsive by far AND IT feels amazing. I got the red version of the string. If you want control and plush feel and to be able to swing for the fences even at a low tension, this one does it all. Going to try a couple other POLY but this one or Square X sharp as of now will be my go to string unless the next string I test feels better ( hard to imagine) Happy Hitting!
My hardhitting daughter has been playing for years and we've never really found that set of strings that would make her say 'I love these!' until now. The strings are super easy on the wrist and elbow while not sacrificing any power and greatly improving control/feel. Customer service is top notch. I called and was ablet to talk to a real pro, not just any old sales associate.
I could tell these are great strings in the first few strokes! Soft, lots of spin, and powerful with the lower recommended string tension. Customer for life!
I have not hit with hexagon x. The good folks at YTEX recommended them for one of my players who constantly breaks strings. His words - “it’s like I’m getting the best of both worlds with these strings.” To elaborate - he enjoys the comfort YTEX offers and the durability he gets from hexagon x.
