Shortly after placing the order Ivor personally called me to learn my style of play, and selected the strings to include in the kit. In a day or so I received them, and put strung the Quadro Twist. I needed no break-in period for the match I was playing, and all in the doubles group repeatedly commented on my improved spin serves and power! In spite of the promoted durability of the Quadro Twist, I will not be disappointed if they prematurely break so I try the next sample. A great product, immediate and noticed improvement in my game, personal service, and all at a most fair price. I'm so blessed to have found YTEXT!!
I have tried the Hexagon-X and the Quadro Twist. I love them both. I lean a bit more to the Quadro Twist because I hit a bit more top spin and my backhand slice has a lot more bite on it. The other players took notice.
The durability, spin and control from my own personal view from hitting Octo-twist is just amazing. I strung up a racket for my buddy (square-x) and he loves it... he said he loves the feel and control and noticed increased power with little effort. Overall gotta give these strings the highest rating as by these are the best strings I have hit!
Have never felt, so much Spin before using YTEX.
I love the hybrid that i created. I used touch natural in the mains and sintex in the crosses. the strings are very easy on the arm and added spin and power to my shots.
Octo Twist has great bite and the strings stay home. Took a couple of hits before it really settled in but great feel, bite and accuracy. Starter box is such a great deal to try out multiple strings and get into the the YTex world.
I ordered the YBOX and several other strings listed on the website. I talked to Ivor to get a first hand review of each of the additional strings I wanted to try and received excellent input on what each string was designed for and the player who might be interested in the YTEX string. I immediately put Octo-twist in my racquet at 55lbs of tension and played a match. I was hitting my serve where I wanted and it added significant kick to my kick serve. I have played three matches with the Octo-twist string and won all three matches. I do think my volley required some adjustment because to the responsiveness of this string compared to my normal syn-gut of Babalot. I will try to encourage my league and players to adopt this string. I am very happy with its playability. I will gladly report on durability once I give it a couple more matches. For reference I play 2-3 times a week and am USTA rated 4.5, photos to follow.

Players love the Spin, Power and tension control these strings provide! A lot of my to players are now using these strings!
A strong and tight grip band that doesn’t move after hours of play. They look great over a white overgrip.
and Square X in crosses in both Babolat aeropro as well as Babolat Pure strike racquets!
My college players love these strings. They are arm friendly for my players that have arm problems and they love the feel and spin it gives them.
I used to string my rackets hybrid style until I came in contact with the Ytex Quadra Twist strings. I no longer need a hybrid pattern due to these strings, giving me the power control, spin and elbow safety that I require. I play with a Head Radical and string the mains at 42 and the crosses at 40.
Here's my assessment. I keep forgetting how arm friendly the set is. I tried it yesterday while doing a hitting session. Strung at 48 lbs on a prince phantom 100 18X20. It didn't have the stiff feel as compared to a Dunlop black widow or the Solinco confidential. The control plus bite was there.
I'm 61 and my hard hitting days are pretty much over. I now use my opponents pace and the set is actually perfect for my type of game. This is my opinion of the set . I'm sure everyone might think differently.
