The Pleasant Surprise

I ordered and received my YTEX Premium Dry Feel overgrips. Immediately I put two on my two rackets. I taught three one hour lessons and played two hours of doubles in one hundred degree heat. The grip was dry and tacky when I put the racket away. I’ve now gave four more lessons and played two more hours of doubles and my white overgrip is still white.

It's incredibly soft without feeling bulky, gives me excellent control, and my hand stays comfortable even after three sets. Worth every penny for any serious stringer

I've tested just about every major string brand over the years, and this Starter Kit genuinely impressed me. It gave me the opportunity to playtest eight completely different YTEX strings without having to invest in multiple reels first. Quadro Twist immediately stood out—it was incredibly arm-friendly with outstanding spin, and I can definitely understand why it was ranked #1 for Spin by the USRSA. Square-X Sharp was another favorite with players looking for maximum bite on the ball, while Hexagon-X delivered excellent control and durability.

The quality across the entire lineup was outstanding, and every player I strung for had positive feedback. The included $30 gift card made it an even better value and allowed me to place my first reel order at a discount. Quadro Twist is a Winner

For some time, my go to string was the Luxilon Element Soft IR. I loved the pocketing, which gave great pop and spin, and the arm friendliness for a poly was great. The volley control wasn't the best and the tension loss is a known drawback, so knowing YTEX was well-known for arm friendly poly's I've been looking for a replacement within the YTEX line. I've tried several setups, including hybrids like Square X Sharp mains and Square X black crosses, Sharp mains and Quadro Twist black crosses, and Hexagon X red mains and Sharp crosses. I've also tried full bed Hex Red and most recently, full bed Quadro Twist. I liked each setup for different reasons, but ultimately the full bed Quadro is the winner. I have it string at 50 lbs in a Wilson Shift and it's a match made in heaven. The pocketing, serve pop, and spin are excellent, and the volley control at the net is pretty good as well. On top of all that, the arm friendliness is a great bonus. This is a special string, and I'm thrilled to see where things go from here.

First time user after seeing ads for a couple of years. I'm a senior player coming back to the game after a few years off. I didn't start playing until I was 51 and when I began my journet, it was with my son so I learned the modern game. That means arm and shoulder abuse - especially with modern equipment such as stiff rackets and poly strings.
At the start of this year, I tracked down several old, flexible rackets for sale on Ebay. My goal was to get some to use for practice to save my bod. I now carry rackets like the original Head Prestige Classic and 600, Rossignols and even some Yonex frames. These rackets are heavy BUT flexible. I quickly learned they allowed me to hit till I was I was tired - not sore.
At first I was using multi and syn gut strings to preserve the arm but eventually went back to poly and was fine. Not sure if my technique has improved or if it was because I was using such flexible sticks. Then the Head Squared was released followed by the Yonex Muse and suddenly I had modern equipment with Flex! I now carry 3 Squares and 3 Muse frames and find all of them to be "arm friendly" - even when fitted with Polys.
I then started experimenting with strings. I tried Toroline, Solincos big 3, Luxilon. Volkyl Cyclone and others. For my game, I find strings with an edge get me the best amount of spin even though round crosses are supposedly better performing. As many of you know, playing with edges tends to be more abusive to the arm and they don't wear the best but for me, I just love the spin and control. And after playing the Square X Sharp, a 4 sided string in a thin gauge, I'm happy to say they're not only arm friendly and generate tons of spin, they also provide very good feel. I'll be replacing my Hyper G's with this string which are about half of my sticks. And though I've yet to try the Quadro Twist set I also purchased, I'm hoping they're similar for my game. The only reason I didn't use them first is due to their thickness. I only found a 16 and I prefer a thinner string which is why I started with Square-X. Any chance the Quadro will be available in a thinner gauge or did I just miss it on your site? Thanks for your attention to detail and communication with your customers.
