Octo Twist Green Set

Wow, these strings are a perfect match for a weighted Blade 100L. The flex on the Blade has an RA of 69 and it feels it. These strings really smooth that out and offer up a little extra power. These strings also increase the spin potential and help take full advantage of the 16 x 19 string pattern. All of the Ytex strings have above average longevity and I know these will be no different. I have used these strings before in a 2021 Yonex Vcore and felt they were a little too muted. In the stiffer Blade they are perfect. I would say these strings would be ideal for stiffer racquets like a Pure Drive and Wilson Ultra. Did I mention the color which matches very nicely. Will buy more!!!

I tried Octo Twist for the first time. Not as soft or powerful as Quadro twist or Square X, But still comfortable. I just strongly a couple pounds looser than normal and I was able to get my normal pop on the ball. As usual, YTEX didn’t disappoint!

I was very impressed with the extra spin I got even hitting with a continental grip. I have great control and all the power I could ask you. The spin shows up best when I am serving. I play doubles primarily so touch and control are very important. I get these things from Octo-Twist. I have it in two racquets at 39 lbs.

Alive and comfortable strings

My go to string. Easy and controlled spin. Has a launch angle a touch higher than round strings but allows you to access spin. I play with a full bed and even after 9 months i wouldnt consider these strings as dead. They have almost become a round string by this point and they still have great snap back and will almost not let me miss.

I’ve used this string for years and love it. Gives you easy top and back spin and very arm friendly.

Love the feel , durability and performance

Octo Twist has been my favorite string for several years at this point! One of many wonderful co-polys from the excellent ytex catalog. It’s tough to beat the feel and playability of this string! Five stars for sure!

Just got threw with the octo-twist green 16 gauge. I hit with these strings twice in one day and unfortunately they broke in the second hit. In the first hit, which lasted about an hour, I really loved the strings, they definitely reminded me of Tour Bite but with more spin and maybe even more power. I felt great with these strings, every strike felt nice with the power and spin I sought. I was thinking these could be my new “go-to” strings. I used the same racquet and strings in my second hit of the day, and unfortunately the strings broke one hour into my hit. So that is basically 2 hours of play before these 16 gauge strings broke, which I’ve never experience with other strings. I was really liking them before they broke but 2 hours of play time is not quite durable enough for how often I play. I am. 5.0+ level former college player and I like to hit big with big spin for reference.

Feels a lot like the diadem solstice power but better!

I was pleased with these strings, but I need to give them another playtest at a lower tension. I originally strung my racket at 55lbs, will be playing with these strings at 46 lbs in the next few days. I will update my review then.

Octo twist's softness allows for an easy stringing of the racket.
IT also creates a solid ball pocket to produce good directional control.
The twist and 8 sided string also grips the ball to create extra spin.
I combine it with Pro Tour Black to create a wicked spin producing combination.
Octo in the crosses at 48, Pro Black at 50 pounds in the vertical strings.

I have a lot of access to spin with these strings. I struggle to get depth with my swings. Maybe a 100" racquet is where they shine most. I can swing out on my serve without the ball flying out of control.

Used these in a hybrid setup with quadrotwist in the mains. Feel is excellent and the spin with this combo is great. Ball pocketing seems better in this hybrid setup too. Great string, my go to set-up.

Very happy customer!! I strung my customer’s Wilson Pro Staff 97 with Octo-Twist at 48 lbs. He loves it! It has so much power and awesome control. Maybe I’ll order a reel of this string.

I have tried many strings in my lifetime, but nothing picks up more spin than this strings! It also holds the tension much better than i.e. Rpm blast, Alu Rough. Ytex has been the best for me!

I hit with the strings today it has a lot of good spin and control. Definitely recommend these strings

So far I have tried the Hexagon X Pearl and Quadro twist black and wow amazing strings now I will be trying the Octo Twist tomorrow and i already know it is going to exceed my expectations. Simply beautiful strings.

I won't lie, it took a minute to adjust to how spin friendly the Octo-Twist made my racket. After about 10 full minutes into a warmup & set, I was able to move my opponent's around like crazy. It gives me great angles on my volleys, but I had a bad day serving. Overall, I love it, I just need to work on my serving more.

The green spin monster is scaring off all my opponents.
Just not crazy about the packaging, would like to see more eco friendly.

Played with Octo-Twist Green in hybrid setup as the mains with a 19g poly cross for the first time last night and I will stock up on it for the 2020 season. OMG. The ultra soft string bed help me hit very precise volleys and high bouncing kick serves that I could sneak in behind to put away volleys with ease. The control was amazing. I only have two hours in on the string so I can't attest to the durability but spin, comfort, control and power was perfect for doubles.

Had this on my racquet for about 6 weeks and I love how it plays! It’s also been super durable. I string racquets for our academy and the kids love it also.

Lively feel and incredible spin potential! Definitely a must try for poly players looking to get the same spin (and better feel than) from strings like Alu Power or Vokl Cyclone at a way cheaper cost!

First time trying this string. So far the comfort has been exceptional and the spin and control are above average. I have this string in a Babolat Pure Aero.

Very fast delivery. Strung my Prince Graphite Classic 107 with it not only was I surprised by the spin but also the comfort. Strung up easier than most polys. Will be getting more for my stringing clients to try.

Good string for spin!

I was very impressed with the amount of spin I was able to put on my balls with this string. The comfort level was also very pleasant.
